Grilled & Baked Chicken Wings

Chicken wings – 500 gms

Ingredients  1  (Marination)

Kashmiri red chili powder – ½  tbsp
Ground Coriander -  ¼ tbsp
Ground Cumin – ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – small pinch
Garam Masala -  ½ tsp
Onion chopped - 1 very small
Garlic chopped - 3 cloves
Ginger chopped - a small piece
Yogurt  ¼  cup
Salt to taste

Ingredients 2

Soy Sauce - 1 tbsp
Juice of  half ½ lime
Olive oil /cooking oil - 1 table spoon

Clean and remove the tip off the wings. Cut from the joints to make it two.

Place all the ingredients 1  in a blender  and puree it. Add a little water if needed. Reserve a table spoon marinade for later. Marinate the chicken pieces with the paste and refrigerate it for minimum 4 or up to 24 hours.

Baking :- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place the marinated chicken pieces in an greased baking sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes.

Meanwhile to make the glaze, combine all the ingredients  2,  and the reserved marinade and make a thin paste . After 30 or 40 minutes, take out the chicken , baste it with the glaze on both sides and bake again for 15 to 25 minutes. if you want you can increase the temp to 400 degrees...Baking time depends on how you want it to be. I hate to see any pink inside , so i bake it really well, basting it halfway through.

Grill:- Light your grill to medium hot.  When its smoking hot , arrange the wings an inch apart without overcrowding and let grill for 10 minutes on each side , glazing with the glaze in between .
Very yummy starter!! You will for sure love it.
