Chocolate Cake Pops - Eggless

Eid Mubarak!!

Why should we eat cake in slices, its fun to have this way too. Try them its a bit lengthy procedure but the kids will love it this way.  If you are ok to buy a readymade mix and make a cake even then its fine, all you have to do is just make the pops, just follow the below procedure.

Ingredients:
For the cake:
1 ½  cups flour
¼  cup cocoa powder
4 tbsp  fine sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1  tsp baking soda
1 tin =  400gm sweetened condensed milk
150 gm butter melted
1 tbsp vanilla
1 cup  water

Method:

Grease and line the  cake tins with  butter paper and  preheat the oven at about 150 c

Assemble the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder and baking soda, mix with a spoon and sieve once to make the mixture uniform and keep aside.

Add in the condensed milk, melted butter, vanilla and water, just mix well and then add the dry ingreidnets and beat with an electric hand mixer until the mixture is uniform and smooth and there are no lumps. This shouldn’t take more than a minute with an electric hand mixer. Do not to over beat as this tends to stiffen the batter which might lead to a less softer cake.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake tins and bake for 30 to 45 or until a skewer or toothpick comes out clean.
Once the cake are done let it cool well.

Lets make the cake pops

What you need

Lollipop sticks one pack
Cream frosting - add as per your requirement
200gms  chocolate chips
Butter – 2 tbsp                                                                                                                                      Whipping cream – 4 tbsp
Smarties, sprinkles

How to make the balls

Take the baked cake and crumble them well with your hands and add in slowly little by little of the frosting and mix well, I used about 5 tbsp of the frosting, its upto you to add more or less depending on the moist of your cake. So add little by little to the cake crumble.

Take a bit of the cake mixture and roll it into a smooth ball. Take a lollipop stick and push it  into the end of each ball, pointing upward, as you put the ball back down on the sheet. Repeat until you've used up all the mixture  and put it into the  freezer so that the balls harden.

How to decorate the cake pops

Add cream,  chocolate, butter  using double boiler method on the stove and stir well until nice thick chocolate sauce is formed.
Dip each ball into the chocolate until covered and then put some  sprinkles, or anything else you'd like to decorate with. Put it back on the sheet to harden.

Don't refrigerate these; it will cause the coating to weep or melt. They can be frozen, however.
Kids will love this cake pops.  You can make the cake any flavor and decorate as  per your choice.
