Ingredients:
Raw papaya – 1 very medium size chopped in cubes Fresh grated coconut – about 4 tbsp Green chillies – 4 or 5 depending on your spice level Cumin – a pinch Garlic – 2 pcs. Turmeric – ¼ tsp Curry leaves – 2 sprigs Urud dal – 1 tsp Mustard – ½ tsp Salt to taste Coconut/cooking oil – 2 tbsp
Method:
Use a mixie and just crush the coconut, garlic, green chillies, cumin and keep it aside
Use a kadai add the oil when its hot throw in the mustard and when it splutters add in the urud dal, when it turns brown add the crushed coconut ingredients and sauté for a minute.
Now add the chopped raw papaya pieces, turmeric and salt. Close it with a lid and cook in very low flame until the cabbage is cooked well, you can sprinkle some water here and there so that it does not get burnt.
