Nanakhatai

All purpose flour-1 cup
Butter or ghee - ½  cup  *

Sugar - ½  cup
     Salt a pinch
     Cardamon powder – ¼ tsp
     Cashew nuts- 2 tbsp (Crushed or chopped)
     Pistachios for garnish
·         I prefer to use butter than the ghee as I love to retain the white colour

 
Method:

Sift flour, cardamon powder and salt,  set aside. Now powder the  sugar and keep aside

Mix the butter and powdered sugar until you get the creamy texture.Mix flour little by little into the  creamy mixture, you can use a spoon. Now throw in the  crushed cashewneuts nuts to the mixture and mix together with hand so that all the ingredients are incorporated well.


Make golf size balls from the dough and place them in a baking sheet (ensure to put the  baking paper) spaced apart. Take a pista  and very softly press the pista on top of the balls. As you bake they will get their shape.
Bake for 15 min at 350 F. The cookies doesn't have to color. Let it remain in the wire and they will get cooked perfectly.
A hot cup of tea with this is a gr8 combination J
