During my
recent visit to Goa, it was a wonderful
opportunity for us to taste the typical Goan dishes. I loved some of their dishes like this fish curry the most, infact so perfect with good the amount of
spices goes very well with steamed rice.
I have used King fish for this curry.

: 30 minutes
Serves : for 4 pax
Ingredients
Fish
– King fish or pomfret - 400gms
To Grind masala
Kashmiri
Chillies – 6 nos.
Coconut grated – ½ cup
Ginger – 1 inch
Garlic – 3 cloves
Pepper Corns 6 – 8 nos.
Whole coriander seeds - 1 tsp
Methi Seeds – 3 nos.
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Coconut grated – ½ cup

Other Ingredients
Salt
as per your taste
Green chilly – 2 nos slit
Lime size tamarind
Onion - finely chopped small – 1 no

Method
Slice,
clean fish with salt and wash several times
nicely and add some salt and keep the fish aside.
Grind
the masala ingredients mentioned above, in a mixer with a little water
Add
some oil into a cooking pot, add onions and fry
for few minutes till light colour, then add the masala and add some water. Add salt and put in the chillies,
tamrind (as per your taste).
Once
the entire mixture starts to boil, then
you slowly slide in the fish pieces. Cook in low flame till the fish is cooked completely.
Goan curry is ready to serve.
